Looking for something different and quirky then join Claire in this fun filled tutorial learning some great tips and skills along the way. In this lesson Claire shows how to create the shape of a beautiful giraffe blowing bubble gum using a supplied template as a guide, which will also be used as a stencil to create the iconic patterns of a giraffe.
Step by step you will learn how to carve, cover with sugarpaste, how to create realistic features: hair, eyes and ears, including applying natural colouring using a variety of techniques, enhancing the overall look.
These same techniques can be applied to create most animals, which could even be personalised by adding a message changing the blown bubble gum to a speech bubble or even just add leaves or a Savannah sunset in the background. Scroll down and check out more inspiring videos below.
